I am working on my PupScout Ice Cream Badge and have a recipe to share with everyone. Now this recipe is not for the faint of stomach, there is a waiting period for eating this wonderful PupCream.

1. Pick out some nice ripe B.A.N.A.N.A.S! 3 to be exact.

2. Peel them naked.

(you might need your paw-rents help here)

HERE IS THE HARD PART…PUT THEM ON ICE AND FREEZE OVERNIGHT-NIGHT.

NITE, NITE BANANAS… see you in 24 hours!

3. Blend Bananas in

the food processor

3. Add in 1 Tablespoon of creamy peanut butter

SERVE IMMEDIATELY or place in a container and freeze for a firmer treat. I eat mine rignt away! No time like the present to give yourself a tasty treat. If you like, you can add in strawberries or blueberriess too! I like mine classic.

YUM YUM YUM

now that’s one tasty PUPCREAM

ENJOY!!!
PS
the two-leggers like this mixture too,
so make sure to finish your bowl or they may eat it!
love ya  Miss Sadie

SADIE_COOKS_pupcakes

The kitchen has always fascinated me, it is a magical area in the house. There are large shiny objects in that room that open and often dispense yummy items. Some of them are tall and cool air flows out and others are short and I am told to sit and stay far away from them as they have hot breath when they open up. I think it must be a grumpy monster or something.

We are using both of these magical kitchen instruments today and I must say I am having a hard time waiting.

INGREDIENTS

Pupcakes
½ cup whole wheat flour (substitute if your pup is wheat sensitive)
1 teaspoon baking powder
⅓ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
2 tablespoons honey

Frosting
3 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1½ tablespoons creamy peanut butter (this is my favorite and I get to like the spoon!)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat (the grumpy monster) oven to 350 F.
  2. Line 6 standard muffin tins or 12 mini muffin tins if you are a petite pup like me with paper liners, or spray with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  3. Whisk together, in a medium bowl, the flour and baking powder. Add the vegetable oil, applesauce, egg and honey, and whisk gently to combine. Divide the batter between the prepared muffin cups and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 10 to 15 minutes. Allow your pupcakes to cool completely before frosting / serving.
  4. To make the frosting, stir together the yogurt and peanut butter, then spread on top of each pupcake just before serving. The pupcakes can be kept for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, that is if you don’t eat them all first!

Enjoy and keep your tail wagging, it makes for a lovely breeze during the summer!

Puppy morning yawns.

Sadie waking up

Sadie waking up

It is a wonderful life as a puppy. You can wake up at your leisure. I prefer to wake up when my people stir in the morning. This allows them the pleasure of having a smile as I wipe the sleep from my eyes and clean my ears like a cat. I do not know any cats but hear my people say it seems to be a cat like move. All I know is they laugh when I wake up. I amuse them.

Hi Let me introduce myself, my name is Daisy.

I am here taking over the blog that Lucy used to write. She was my parent’s beloved friend. They miss her very much. I never knew her but know that I have some big paws to fill. I may never be her size in stature but know I am here to the rescue to fill their hearts will lots of puppy kisses and tail wags. I am totally up for the challenge. After all I have puppy personality + and I am my own loveable little munchkin. As you can see by my photo I am perfect. All 2 pounds of me! I sleep a lot but when I am up I am a speedy gonzales. My breed is what they call a MI-KI pronounced Me-Key. They say I am a toy breed, a designer dog with a mixture of Maltese, Papillon, and Japanese Chin.

My new vet, Dr David who used to take care of  Lucy says I look like a Papillon. I actually think there is probably not another dog like me so he must be mistaken…but since I like him so much I won’t tell him I am different from anything he has ever see before. 😉

I will be reporting on my life here in Hollywood as well as any new adventure that I might have with my parents. I just got my last puppy shots so I have only been out to the dr.’s office and a few very guarded trips to MAXWELL DOG in studio city. I was very excited to go there as I read all about it from Lucy’s blogging and I must say that every last word that she wrote was true. That place is just the most barking place ever. My parents bought me this blankie there and boy oh boy is it soft. I love the girls at Maxwell Dog because they think I am just adorable.

I will be barking at you soon. Til then wags n’ waddles.
