Wow, How surprised was I to get a box of love in the mail. I knew my people loved me because they adopted me… choosing me over other family members but this proves to me that I am really the most loved pup in the house. (I know you might say … I am the only pup in the house but I know there have been other dogs here because I see photos of them hanging on the walls. My people often tell me the other dogs names but I can not see them because they live somewhere over a rainbow bridge that I can’t see.)

Anyhow, my box had so many wonderful smells. Freshly baked cookies in a tin, a pink unicorn who is soft and cuddly for me to snuggle with at night, and there was a cigar box of treats that I just loved and this fun bandana that said LOVE on it. And this bone that is part fur and part cute red heart glasses. I am in LOVE with theBirthdayPuppy.com people because they really know how to pack a lot of love into a box.

Thank you to my people for being my valentine.

Futuristic night cityscape view. Hong Kong

Sadie Miki the wonder dog helping Batman save the city … R is now for Rover 🙂

We four-legged are all superheroes of one sort or another. Just look at the reality of it… we possess extraordinary talents. My supernatural phenomena is being able to eat a treat in one mouthful. Think about the symbolic moral goal of it… I am protecting the public both two-legged and four-legged of forbidden calories.  With one whoosh of my mouth the calories are defeated and can no longer hurt others. And you guessed it my mask is that I am not really a “dog” I am a four-legged wonder called Sadie. Now go forth and save human kind by joining me in gobbling up all the treats you can find!

Until our next adventure! Stay tuned.

  • 2 cloves garlic
  •  ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup powdered milk

PREP:

  1. Preheat oven to 400º.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Roll this mixture out ¼ inch thick and cut into shapes … people is my choice.
  5. Place 1 inch apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Yogurt Frosting for Dogs

Yields: Makes 1 Cup
Note:
This frosting dries hard so make sure to shape into what you want while soft
(we are doing hearts today).

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup tapioca starch
  • 2 – 3 teaspoons low fat or 2% milk

PREP:

  1. Place yogurt and tapioca starch in a small bowl and thoroughly combine.
  2. Mix in milk a teaspoon at a time until consistency of frosting.
  3. Decorate or dip the dog treats. Place on wax paper and let dry.

If you want red coloring (which is what we do for making little hearts)
make sure to use natural coloring we use beet juice!

Now go Woof them down!!!!!! Happy Valentine’s Day!

SADIE_MOONSTRUCK_MIKI

Each year the loud creepy noises of Howl-o-Ween fill the air and ghosts and goblins petite in size come to the door asking for treats or they will do some tricks.

I wonder how the two-leggers could teach their children all wrong. The way it should be done as all us four-leggers know so well is first you DO THE TRICK and then you GET THE TREAT!

The next ghost or gobblin you see this halloween teach them the real way to earn that treat! Love as Howlishly Sweet …Sadie

I love it when my people get excited about a day like Halloween, which when pronounced correctly in dog speak is HOWL-o-ween! They buy candy that I can’t have but include me by making dog friendly bits that are special HOWL-fully goodies that I can have. This makes me feel included and not like Charlie Brown who was always getting “rocks”. Of course I have been known to pick up a rock or two when my people aren’t looking.

I suggest you send your favorite four-legged fur pal a Halloween Card. I love to get mail, sometimes I steal my people’s mail so getting a card from the great pumpkin is a special event. This card is an edible, natural rawhide.
Bonecard

Last year I dressed up as a candy corn skeleton, but this year I am taking the advise of one of my ZoomRoom trainers and going as a dust bunny so that all I need to put on is my lovely locks and lay on the floor helping my people clean!

Here are some treats you can make for your treat bag:

Howl-o-ween Pumpkin Oatmeal Spice Dog Bones
(makes about 20 cookies)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Directions:
1. Heat up the oven to 375 degrees (let your two-leggers do this)
2. Combine pumpkin, oil, water, and cinnamon in a large bowl, stir well. (I always ask to lick the spoon)
3. Gradually mix in the oatmeal and flour (if you are sensitive to flour you can substitute with Almond flour which is a naturally grain-free Paleo-friendly flour) to form the stiff cookie dough.
4. Roll dough out in 1/4″ thickness and cut with your favorite cookie cutter on a floured surface.
5. Bake on a non-stick cookie sheet for 30-40 minutes.

Have a Happy CHEW on this Howl-o-Ween!

Another year approaches and we all are ready to celebrate. The two-leggers with their  bubbly drinks and me with my new ZiwiPeak bone. It will be a time for sharing, a time for remembering all the fun we had in 2013 running, jumping and laughing. I have my new years resolutions all ready to bark out:

1. I will wag my tail more often.

2. I will teach my people new tricks (as they have perfected the “more treats” trick last year)

3. I will visit with more four-leggers at the park. My plan is to become a park socialite.

4. I will give to the less fortunate paws in the world.

5. I will continue my education at the Zoomroom!

May your new year be filled with new experiences to wag your tail at, new faces to lick and new tricks to be learned.

So my people spoil me a bit and I have a bit of a shy dog complex. Actually I really just enjoy riding in my mom’s purse but don’t tell her. So the people decided to enroll me into this group of other shy dogs at a place called the Zoomroom.

We had our first class and it was quite interesting. It is a school that teaches my people to feed me massive treats. I quite like this concept. People can be fooled into such silly tricks. I already knew how to sit, but if they wish to learn new tricks I will gladly help them for a small fee.

Our class is small, there are three other four legged students, I am the smallest and the largest is a sweet white pit bull. We all have our own story as to why we are called shy dogs. I will be reporting on my parents progress, I hope to teach them many things
